Dr. Stephanie Correa is a board-certified veterinary medical oncologist with over two decades of experience in clinical oncology and veterinary practice leadership. She is the Founder and President of Animal Cancer Care Clinic (ACCC), the largest dedicated veterinary oncology practice in the United States, with multiple locations across Florida. Renowned for her commitment to comprehensive, compassionate cancer care for pets, Dr. Correa has been instrumental in advancing the field through clinical innovation, education, and the development of integrated oncology services.
Dr. Correa earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1996 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Virginia. She completed her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York, followed by oncology residencies at both The Animal Medical Center and Louisiana State University. She achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2001.
Since founding ACCC in 2004, Dr. Correa has led the expansion of the practice into a nationally recognized oncology network, providing state-of-the-art treatment options including immunotherapy and stereotactic radiation. Her career includes prior roles at the Veterinary Specialists of South Florida and Louisiana State University, where she also served as a clinical instructor, teaching senior and sophomore veterinary students in oncology and internal medicine.
Dr. Correa is a long-standing member of the ACVIM and currently chairs the Executive Committee of the Veterinary Management Group. She is also a past executive board member of the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association.
Her scholarly contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications on canine and feline oncology and participation in professional conferences. She is deeply committed to advancing veterinary oncology, supporting pet owners through the treatment journey, and fostering leadership and innovation within the profession.
