SWEDESBORO, New Jersey--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wedgewood Pharmacy, one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the U.S., welcomed several New Jersey dignitaries to its compounding laboratory and office facilities in Swedesboro during May.
“Compounding is an integral part of the practice of pharmacy and the demand for these customized medications increases every year, particularly in our specialty within animal health. Since Congressman Norcross visited our facilities, he has joined the bi-partisan Veterinary Medicine Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
On May 7, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (D-NJ) and members of his staff toured the company, hosted by Lucy Malmberg, R.Ph., F.A.C.A., F.A.C.V.P., chief executive officer and Marcy Bliss, president. Malmberg noted, “Wedgewood Pharmacy employs more than 265 people in Southern New Jersey and serves tens of thousands of physicians, patients, veterinarians, pet owners and their pets throughout the United States. It’s very important that we show the people who shape the legislation and regulation that can affect our business exactly how we contribute to our community, our pharmacy profession and our clients.”
