Renee Lupo, R.Ph., F.A.C.A., F.A.C.V.P., a long-time employee of Wedgewood
Pharmacy, passed away on May 31, 2012, after a brief illness. Renee, who joined
Wedgewood in 1994, was a kind, caring pharmacist, colleague and friend. She
combined her encyclopedic knowledge of compounding pharmacy with sensitivity,
understanding and compassion for the tens of thousands of people and animals she
served through her work. She was a consummate professional, whose presence,
gentle humor and engaging spirit motivated, animated and inspired those who were
privileged to work with her. Her tireless commitment to perfection and
innovation contributed significantly and permanently to the development, growth
and prestige of the profession she chose. Renee’s passing leaves a gap in our
company that will never quite be filled and memories that will endure. Wedgewood
Pharmacy will establish a tribute to memorialize Renee, her achievements and her
chosen profession of pharmacy.
Renee's Background
Renee Lupo, R. Ph, F.A.C.A., F.A.C.V.P., as technical-services pharmacist for
Wedgewood Pharmacy, was the company's lead technical/clinical pharmacist,
working with prescribers and their staffs to develop custom formulations. She
also managed all technical training for the company's pharmacy professionals and
was a member of the Formula Change Control Committee and Quality Review Board of
the company. She had been in the pharmacy profession since 1977 and had worked
at Wedgewood since 1994.
Renee was experienced in all aspects of the compounding pharmacy specialty
and developed unique expertise in sterile compounding and compounding
formulations. Her focus on veterinary compounding included specialization in
veterinary medications and veterinary ophthalmology. She attained certifications
in Pharmaceutical Care and Compounds for Veterinary Patients; Advanced Canine
and Advanced Feline Therapeutics; and Avian and Exotic Pet Pharmacotherapy.
Previously, she was Pharmacist-in-Charge for an independent pharmacy.
Renee was a member of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists;
the New Jersey Academy of Compounding Pharmacists; and was a Fellow in the
American College of Apothecaries; and the American College of Veterinary
Pharmacists.
Renee held a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of
Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Delores Renee Lupo (July 15, 1953 - May 31, 2012)
Delores Renee Lupo (nee Benton) of Blackwood, NJ, passed away on May
31, 2012 at the age of 58. Beloved wife of Louis. Devoted mother of Lauren
(Harold) Gotts and grandmother of Alexis Renee, Kaiden and Autumn Gotts. Loving
daughter of Deloma "Dee" and the late Robert Benton. Dear sister of Neal, Scott
(Dianne) and Todd (Robin) Benton and Ann (Robert) Pfister. She is also survived
by her aunt Delores Lindblade. Renee was a 1976 graduate of the University of
the Sciences receiving a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree. She practiced for the past
17 years at Wedgewood Pharmacy in Swedesboro, NJ, specializing in Veterinary
Medicine. Renee was a member of the Haddon Heights Womens' Club and a devoted
alumna of the University of the Sciences. She enjoyed traveling and spending
time with her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to her
viewing, Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June
6, 2012, 8:00 to 9:15 a.m at Terranova Funeral Home, Inc., 402 White Horse Pike,
Haddon Heights, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of
Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ.
Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers
